We belong to the Church of the Divine Yeast, watched over by Our Lady of Fermentation. Actually I make beer and wine. It began with a batch of grapes someone brought to work many years ago.
Now there are grapes in the backyard (Concords) and last year I put in some Norton/Cynthiana vines. Hopefully they'll give us some fruit in the next couple years. I also have planted elderberries, which the birds eat most of. They give me a clue to when their wild cousins are ready and I can go picking.
